On the 17th of June Castle Lite hosted their first day of the Castle Lite Unlocks event. Hosted at TicketPro Dome, the event pulled thousands to enjoy all cold performances, gaming, convos and more. Headlining the first day was the American rapper, Meek Mill.
The day one of the Castle Lite Unlocks experience also presented the momentous Sway Calloway cypher. Considered to be showcasing South Africa’s “freshest talent” the cypher included Rouge, Moozlie, A Reece, J Molley, The Big Hash and A Reece. Due to it enlisting all English rappers, Sjava took to Twitter to share his thoughts.
On an interview with Metro FM, speaking of Kwesta, Sway said, “I can hear an American style in America really well. Therefore, when I come to South Africa, I wanna feel like I’m learning something from the sound and the dialect“. Do you think the list, if any, presented to Sway was biased on the lingo?
