LA Rapper Nipsey Hussle Dies At 33. Shot Six Times

American Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot to his death this past Sunday afternoon – 31st of March. Along with two other unnamed victims, the incident took place outside his Marathon Clothing Store in Los Angeles. Shot six times at close range, the city mayor blames the incident on “senseless gun violence”.

Born Ermias Davidson Asghedom, the rapper, and songwriter became known for his numerous mixtapes, including his Bullets Ain’t Got No Name series, The Marathon, The Marathon Continues and Crenshaw. His debut studio album Victory Lap was released in February of 2018 to enormous commercial success leading to its nomination for Best Rap Album of 2019 at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.

Nipsey Hussle was born on August 15, 1985, and was raised in the Crenshaw neighborhood of South Los Angeles. Before the rap cred, the Eritrean American was a member of the local Rollin 60’s Neighborhood Crips gang.

Nipsey Hussle was dating actress and Lil Wayne‘s baby-mama, Lauren London since 2013. The couple welcomed their first child together on August 31, 2016. London had children from a previous relationship with Lil Wayne, while Hussle had a daughter from a previous relationship named Emani.
