There’s something magical about a love song that sounds like a tropical vacation. This is the case with DJ Kaymoworld’s Next Door. Drawing on the production skills of Tru Hitz and Co Kayn, Kaymoworld knew to bring artists like Zingah, Focalistic, and Manu WorldStar together to best describe the girl next door.
“I was in the studio and Zingah was there to create some beats. Zingah came up with this hook about a girl next door. Everybody has a girl next door, it could be you,” he explains. The rest, as they say, is history!
After the release of The Come Up, Next Door is Kaymoworld’s second single. Gearing up for a lengthier project, the two released singles juxtapose each other in sound and showcase Kaymoworld’s versatility.
The idea [about the girl next door] was inspired by my Dlala music video concept. The boy who loves the girl nexdoor but she is living her best life and doesn’t acknowledge his feelings.
