Discovr | Mshini’s Come Up Moves Set Him Up For A Massive Decade 2020

Meet Nkosinathi Zikalala, popularly know as Mshini aka MshiniSAHipHop, hailing from Johannesburg, Soweto. Purely inspired by his early exposure to good music of a variety of genres, Mshini started creating his own music around 2010/11. In 2014, the affirmed rapper issued his debut mixtape dubbed Afterschool, enlisting a Cassper Nyovest, Gusheshe remix. Mishini’s moves gained him some street and digital cred which spotted him a Zulu Boy cosign.

To date, the 2017 SABC1 One Mic rap battle winner has gone to feature on a handful of radio, TV, and blog interviews/ shows. Mshini’s catalog now boasts music with the likes of Tweezy, DJ Sliqe, Quickface Cass and HHP on his, unfortunately, held back project. In 2019 the 23 year-old-rapper issued an EP dubbed 23 Michael Jordan Wave, a project that was followed by his most recent single, IMIZWA.

Intending to strengthen his relationship with his fans, Mshini is currently working on his EP dubbed XCVi. XCVi is the roman numerical for 96, a number that signifies Mshini’s birth year, 1996. With XCVi, the rapper will unfold everything about his background and personal experiences. Should the EP and its release be executed perfectly, Mshini will soon find out that his moves in the 2010 decade were setting him up for a massive decade 2020.
