Its a showcase of Johannesburg this time as Youngsta CPT unveils visuals for Old Kaapie. Over the weekend, the Cape Town rapper shared a new set of visuals for his most recent offering, 3T album. Produced by Ganja Beatz, Old Kaapie is YoungstaCPT’s fifth single off 3T, and his 5th set of visuals since the release of the album. The new music video was directed by Dale Fortune.
The new Old Kappie music video shows Youngsta CPT playing a prison escapee. The song speaks on stereotypes that affect his fellow Capetonians, and coloureds alike. The latter are falsely presumed to be criminals due to the way they dress and them being coloured. Kaapie is Afrikaans for a knife, and with this song, Youngsta CPT warns all the old knives for him and his fellows are rough and tough.
The new Old Kaapie visuals come as a follow-up to the rapper’s The Cape of Good Hope visuals released two months back. In this recent past, Youngsta CPT has been featured on Gigi Lamayne’s Jou Staad and Kwesta’s Reporting Live From Katlehong. Check out the new music video below and sure to share your thoughts.
