Apple Inc. is finally making a move into the video subscription streaming service sector. Reimagining television and embracing to compete with the likes of Netflix, the service will launch end of this year. Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook announced the coming of the service at the Steve Jobs Theatre, as well an advance Apple TV app.
Apple TV Plus sort to be the home for “the world’s most creative storytellers”. The service will feature exclusive original shows, movies and documentaries”. Apple is, thus – intending to spend close to $2 billion on original content this year.
This coming May, Apple Inc. will also be launching its advanced TV app. The new app is designed to ensure finding the latest must-watch shows easier. Apple intends to make it’s free to use Apple TV app, the main of all various consumer video subscriptions.
Helping to shape Apple’s services is Steven Spielberg who will be reviving his 93-year-old Amazing Stories brand for the service. Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell also announced the coming of an Apple original titled The Morning Show.
The video subscription service to be availed in over 100 countries is also supported by other creatives, namely; Big Bird, Oprah Winfrey, Jason Momoa, J.J. Abrams, Alfre Woodard, Kumail Nanjiani, Sara Bareilles, and more.
