The 2022 SA Hip Hop Awards nominations are in, and this year’s Song of The Year category is heavily contested consisting of a handful of undeniable, chart-topping hits. This years Song of The Year category is evidence that Hip Hop is much alive in South Africa.
Difficult to go unnoticed is the contribution of one specific creative, namely Blxckie, who contributed to six songs in this category. Blxckie is named 13 times in the nominations of this year’s installment of the awards, but surprising enough, he has no nomination in the Best Male category, but that’s a story for another day.
