It’s Friday !! Welcome to the second edition of SAuw. This week we cover 2 of a handful of SA Hip Hop creatives bringing albums before the year ends, the SA Hip Hip Awards, new music and visuals that came through and what’s to come. Let’s go !!

Khuli Chana Unveils “Ichu” Visuals, New Single “I GEDDIT” & Info On Album

On Tuesday Khuli Chana came through with some “fiery” visuals for his forthcoming album’s lead single, Ichu featuring Cassper Nyovest. Sick visuals from the two Motswako giants – you definitely need to check it out !! As you may already know Khuli Chana is currently rolling out his fourth album dubbed Planet of The Have Nots. Watching the new Ichu visuals it seems like Khuli Chana is about to take us through a whole new season. It’s time for the heavyweights. Vivid and grasping to Khuli Chana’s now clear liking, the new visuals were directed and edited by Nic Roux.

But before he came through with the visuals that we couldn’t help but delve into first, on Monday Khuli Chana finally shared the release date for Planet of The Have Nots. The album will be officially released on the 15th of November. Announcing the release date and unveiling the album artwork the rapper wrote;

“28th of October is the day I got shot by the SAPS, case of mistaken identity. It’s been a long tough/interesting journey, but I’ve overcome and I’m now happy to announce that on the 15th NOVEMBER, PLANET OF THE HAVE NOTS DROPS. Artwork by Andadawg #Pothn

Ahead of this much-anticipated release, today Khuli Chana shared a second song off the album. Dubbed I GEDDIT, song number 2 takes us back to the Lost In Time/ Motswakoriginator era as Khulu Chana promised. Check out the new Ichu visuals and new single, I GEDDIT.

Zoocci Coke Dope Unveils Forthcoming Album Title & Release Date

Zoocci Coke Dope is ready to share his new project. The producer, rapper/ singer and songwriter came through a day ago to announce title and release date for the foretold project. The new project will be titled Anxiety and it will be released on the 25th of November this year. Speaking on Anxiety a while back Zoocci Coke Dope said, “FYI – I couldn’t make anything happier,…” Announcing the title and release date, the creative teased a song most probably from the album. Check out his post attached from the gram.

Zoocci Coke Dope kicked off the year by releasing his collaborative effort with Die Mondez, Die Dope. The EP and other projects that Zoocci Coke Dope participated in got the creative a handful of nominations for the recently announced SA Hip Hop Awards. Throughout the year we got some relevant projects from the creative. This involves visuals for Different taken off Die Dope, Current State of Mind III, PatricKxxLee’s Achoo piffed remix, and more.

Speaking on his nominations for the SA Hip Hip Awards, Zoocci Coke Dope says;

SA Hip Hop Awards Announce 2019 Nominees

The South African Hip Hop Awards are back !! Presenting the 8th annual return of the prestigious ceremony, this year the theme is, “the revolution will be computerised“. As recently announced, today at 13:00 the nominees for the coveted pyramid were unveiled via a live Instagram and Facebook stream. The show will boast a number of appearances, live performances and pay tribute to highest achievers within the local Hip Hop scene. This year’s SA Hip Hop Awards will be hosted on the 20th of November at the Lyric Theatre Gold Reef City.

Amongst the handful of categories, one at the centrepiece of our purpose is the Freshmen Category. Check out the previous article where we take a look at the list of nominations in this category and their ammunition ahead of the awards.

New Music From Riky Rick, Driemanskap and J Molley

As we announced last week, Riky Rick was preparing to release a new single. On Tuesday the 29th the creative premiered the song on Metro FM’s The Kings Suite with DJ Spectacula and Naves. The new song is dubbed What It Is and as previously announced, the song enlists guest appearances from Chang Cello, Lucasraps and Dr Peppa.

Also bringing new music this past week is Driemanskap. With their song Hlala Nam and title track to their foretold album leaked sometime this week, today the group unveiled their new album. Get the full story in their album feature coming later today. Also bringing new music is J Molley. Today J Molley unveils his foretold single titled Going Down enlisting a guest appearance from Emtee. Also, get the full story on the single’s feature later today. New Visuals From Nadia Nakai, Rowlene & More Of What’s Coming Soon

Missing out on the first SAuw edition, last week Friday Nadia Nakai unveiled her visuals for Amai. Amai is a song taken from Nadia Nakai’s most recent offering, her debut album dubbed Nadia Naked. Also coming with visuals this week is Rownlene dropping visuals for also her most recent offering, a single dubbed Curtain Call. Curtain Call was premiered on YouTube yesterday. Without further ado, check out the new visuals below.

Closing of SAuw here is more from the news this week. Chad Da Don announced the coming of the Same Sh*t Different Day remix which will enlist a guest appearance Reason. Yesterday Chad Da Don also went on to announce the coming of his new project. Dubbed Stay In Your Lane, the new project will arrive on the 22nd of this month.

Also bringing new content, look out for P Dot O’s Get Mine visuals coming through sometime this coming week.
