Out of respect for fellow Los Angeles creative Nipsey Hussle, Jhene Aiko will be holding back the release of her new music. Responding to an inquiring fan, Jhene Aiko says,

Jhene Aiko, as with many other industry creatives, is paying tribute to Nipsey Hussle ahead of his memorial “Celebration of Life” service taking place at the Staples Center on the 11th of April. The rapper and businessman was shot dead outside his Marathon Clothing shop on the 31st of March.
Jhene Aiko and Nipsey Hussle’s relationship was beyond just their collaboration on the singers’ song, Never Call Me. The two were friends and Jhene Aiko praises Nipsey Hussle for inspiring and motivating her.
