AKA And Sho Madjozi Nominated For BET International Awards

On the 23rd of June, BET will host the 19th edition of their prestigious award ceremony. Hosted at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, the event will celebrate African Americans and blacks in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment. Ahead of the event, BET recently shared their 2019 nominees across 20 categories selected by the BET Voting Academy.

Amongst those nominated, South Africa has two representatives, namely; AKA and Sho Madjozi. Rapper, singer and record producer AKA was nominated in the Best International Act category alongside; Aya Nakamura (France), Burna Boy (Nigeria), Dave (U.K), Dosseh (France), Giggs (U.K) and Mr. Eazi (Nigeria). Rapper and Poet, Sho Madjozi was nominated in the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category alongside; Headie One (U.K), Jok’Air (France), Nesly (France), Octavian (U.K) and Teni (Nigeria).
